The International Graduate Academy at Freiburg Research Services offers prospective and current doctoral candidates of the University of Freiburg (except medicine) advising on how to find appropriate funding for their dissertation project as well as on travel grants and publication allowances. The EU Office provides advising on funding trips abroad while working on a doctoral degree.
Moreover, the International Graduate Academy coordinates the application process for doctoral scholarships offered by the State Graduate Funding Program and offers IGA travel grants to finance travel to conferences.
To facilitate your search for funding opportunities, we also recommend checking on several databases like the Freiburg Funding Portal [de], which contains more than 500 current funding programs from national and international funding organizations as well as calls for applications from the university.
