Advising for Doctoral Candidates
The IGA advises prospective and current doctoral candidates of the University of Freiburg in all questions concerning doctoral studies. You can either make an appointment for an individual advising session or we can advise you (first) via email. Medical students please contact the doctoral studies office of the Faculty of Medicine.
To request an appointment, please send us an email and let us know what you wish to discuss. Normally we can arrange an advising appointment within a few days.
If you have any questions related to the doctoral degree regulations (e.g., questions on the requirements of doctoral studies), please contact your faculty.
The staff council advises doctoral candidates who are employees at the University of Freiburg. This includes questions related to the employment contract, the collective bargaining and labour laws, pay scale grouping, as well as questions about parental leave and child care.
