Self-Organisation for PhD Candidates
The workshop is targeted both at PhD candidates at the beginning and in the middle of their research. PhD candidates further progressed may gain better understanding of self-organisation useful in all areas of professional life and a better idea of the final steps of finishing the doctoral thesis.
The one day workshop covers the topics crucial in the course of writing a PhD thesis, starting from scratch through all intermediary stages until the final publication of the actual thesis. The workshop will introduce the “6-Phases-Modell of Gaining a PhD” which helps organising the complete course of writing and gaining a doctoral degree.
- Participants are able to structure the course of their PhD.
- Participants can organise, plan and manage their daily, weekly and monthly workload.
- Participants can identify their specific procrastination strategies and know ways to improve their performance.
- Participants know how to get support from peers to better organise their research.
The instruments proposed in the workshop will include methods of reflection, tools for planning and self-organisation as well as “learning by doing” in practice sessions.
