From project vision to execution, how to optimize scientific work. This interactive two-days’ workshop aims to equip you with some tools on how to manage your projects as well as your teams.
As a Postdoc you have to juggle between running experiments,instructing students and writing papers. On top of that you may also have teaching assignments or duties in commissions.
Altogether this may represent a big burden. We will revise basic concepts in classical project management methods and discuss how to optimize work load keeping a focus at your career development.

Methods
Interactive group work, as well as individual project analysis. At least two Agile games on new requirements, estimations, teamwork and group dynamics will be included.
Requirements
prepare max. 5 slides summarizing (1-2) the projects you currently work on and their objectives, (3) the publications/manuscripts you were/are involved at, (4) the grant proposals you were/are part of or are planning and (5) your overall aim/goal/career plan.
Slides may be brought to the seminar in power point or pdf format on a USB stick. This is optional and not required.

From project vision to execution, how to optimize scientific work. This interactive two-days’ workshop aims to equip you with some tools on how to manage your projects as well as your teams.
As Post-doc, you have to juggle between running experiments, writing papers and managing students’ work in your research project. On top of that teaching assignments sometimes also tend to be a big burden. In the project and innovation management workshop, we will alternate between the classical project management method known as waterfall and the new methodologies of Agile and Design thinking. I will present you with Interactive games to highlight the experimental mindset, failure-culture and motivation.
